WHO IS SEATED YOGA SUITABLE FOR?
Everyone is welcome. Seated Yoga is particularly suitable for anyone who has thought about trying yoga but may have been put off at the prospect of sitting on the floor!
WHAT SORT OF EXERCISES WILL THERE BE?
The exercises are short and arranged in sequences with rest and relaxation time between. They are designed to gently help you to improve your range of movement and balance, your breathing and circulation, and your concentration.
Most exercises are done sitting in a chair and all of my instructions are an invitation. I always encourage you to work in the way that is right you. Balance exercises can also be done sitting in a chair but I invite you to stand, holding on to the back of your chair for support.
Each exercise is an invitation to participate in the way that is best for your own health and well-being – we are all different and we all feel different from day to day! It is always OK to stop the exercise at any point you need to and just relax. Benefits can be gained by simply being in the energy of the group!
